No bothering, too much 'work' looking at fixtures & the lottery of who'll even play especially in the Europa etc. :WTF:

Put 5 in. 50 transfers is far to many though,20 would of been more than enough. Anyone else bothered with this?

I’ve entered five teams but if they don’t get off to fliers I’m jacking it in.
Dreadful game really.

Burned a few transfers in this, thought with 50 transfers I might aswell try and get off to a flyer. Teams range from 102-120 with 5/6 Used in most. Got 7/8 playing today and all are set up for the midweek games and should all have 9/10 playing.

It's hard to keep track of the fixtures with so many different leagues. Having to do transfers before the first kick off of the day is a pain aswell,I put Mertens in a few today and he didn't play.

I think you have to make transfers before the first kick off of the day involving any of the 20 teams or have I just made that rule up? :hmmm:

Liked the look of Napoli against Liverpool so brought loads of Merten’s and Lozano’s in today.

Napoli won 4-1 and they were both benched. Got one point between them.

Yeah I brought a few Mertens in,at least he should play the midweek fixture though. Brought a few Insigne's in aswell though and I think he got 13 points.

My best team is up to 29th now, burned a few transfers but set up nicely with 10 to play in the midweek fixtures. It's hard to tell how your doing in this with 50 transfers to use. Not sure if I should keep burning the transfers to stay up there or slow down a bit. :hmmm:

Absolutely crazy game given the amount of transfers and games.

To be fair 50 won't last long given the number of league games were looking at

One thing for sure is that Deano will probably be miles ahead in a months time but will have :mort: all of his transfers.

Think I'm gonna get to 40 and just ride it out without using any for a couple of months baring injury and just see how that pans out

Thank you for predicting my future for me Monkey - perhaps your time would be better spent reading T&C's i.e yes, it does include league games :OFFS:

In the interests of transparency, I am changing my team's titles in alignment with their transfer counts. That won't help you with reading the T&C's but at least you will be able to see if your cast-iron predictions ring true

You touched a nerve with me on this one Gazza.I've put many hours of research into the statistics of the likes of Donyell Malen, Denzel Dumfries and Nicolas Tagliafico. That's notwithstanding the fixture calendars of the respective leagues and individual teams.

Get a life would be fair comment but I particularly like the set up of this game (keeps the dull midweeks interesting), and I believe it to be very winnable. Long may the apathy towards it continue.

I consider you a mate, so no long term offence taken.

My transfer usage ranges between 6 & 11- starting with Bayern (3-0 & 4-0) and City (3-0 & 8-0) before transferring them out yesterday for Napoli, PSG etc seemed obvious to me. I could have done without the Jordi Alba injury mind.

Transfer wise I know quite a few will be needed during the European Xmas shutdown, and obviously you will need to be loaded with players in the latter stages of the Champions League/Europa. 50 isn't as many as it appears.

You are absolutely right of course, I am like a kiddie in a candy shop with so many leagues and perms to choose from so this will be a 9 month battle with self-restraint which I'm bound to lose!

Hope all is well with you mate - nice words on the poisonous Dream Team clique on the other side this abo. Nothing more distasteful than keyboard nobodies that believe themselves to be experts - that place is ridden with them.

Given your previous deano I'd have decent money on you having no transfers by the new year :titter:

I never even looked at this.... Struggling to raise any interest in tff game full stop after prizes destroyed and getting off to a shit start....

Sky is mediocre so far and sun game travelling OK without pulling up trees

Yes all's good mate. Don't usually comment on fiso, especially after copping a ban for daring to question a certain person in the sky game, however think they drive people away who generally could do with some constructive advice.

Ilbn probably keeping the sky forum active to be fair, although he's a bit slow taking up advice

I've done 2 teams just for a bit of starting interest and as you say it's probably very winnable given the format as interest will wain pretty quickly tbh.

You do know how to pick a starting 11 in any format, as your generally all over the Leaderboard early doors

Did you give the fanteam game a go ? Only did one in each of the league and euro game but very impressed so far, probably need 10 teams to have any kind of chance but you never know

Thanks for the tip Gazza, perhaps I should have a look at Fanteam. Struggle to get on with FPL-based games generally, think it's the kitkat & t-shirt first prize that has given me subliminal issues with it

As for this game, I'll stick my neck out and say that the team below will go very close, mainly because of the apathy towards the game meaning most of the good managers appear to have given it a miss - and Yorkie  :

Currently called 41 left

Oblak, J (ATL)

Pique, G (BCA)
Tagliafico, N (AJX)
Alexander-Arnold, T (LIV)

Tadic, D (AJX)
di Maria, A (PSG)
Mahrez, R (MCY)
Salah, M (LIV)

Ronaldo, C (JUV)
Malen, D (PSV)
Aubameyang, P (ARS)

Points: 244
Position: 28
Transfers:41

Might prove to be a transfer-spunking antidote - I don't want to get a reputation for that
