VIP chairman

Postby Yorkshire Exile » Sat Aug 04, 2018 10:31 am

Usual collective format.

We all chip into each others leagues on condition that 50% goes to charity :agree1:

Prizes reduced this year like league of leagues
500
250
100

Start with a couple of teams each and see how league filling goes..... These should be what you consider to be teams that could genuinely contend. Fill the other leagues with your dross

No rush to nominate teams - I will check rules

But those interested please stick yer hand up below

Looks like 24th Sep is deadline for this in terms of creating leagues - with potential for tidying up until 8th Oct.... anyone read T&Cs different??

right folks... lets get this moving... think it gives 2 weeks to get organised....

Guidelines:

1, remember 50% of any winnings is for charity
2, please just use 1111 for all passcodes
3, whilst there are no hard and fast rules for eligibility please no dreamers.... I would say you need to be top 20k with 38+ transfers left. I reckon this puts you ~50 points behind a good number of quality players....
4, lets start with 2 chair teams per person - so we can guarantee filling.
5, Remember chair 2 good teams - fill other peoples leagues with your dross

Dunno if I'm going to bother putting any teams in this or not but will have plenty of teams to fill people's leagues if needed.

already got some of the fanfooty league chairman appearing prominently....

had a decent solid start for 90% of my teams... made 1-2 tweaks in a couple but most barrelling along with full compliment of transfers

I've a team on 146 at the moment which I'd assumed could be used as fodder for VIP & quite possibly in a few weeks time it'll fall back into my assumed category :beglee:

As it happens its the team name I'd have used for Feets memorial league called Muppets Serbanators :mort:

get it nominated as a chair - decent start.

I will concoct some rough guidelines for eligibility - but as everyone knows teams can come from way back to get into top 100.

will start process towards end of international break - once we know who is injured :titter:

IF it continues to score at 70'ish for the next 2 weeks its worth considering :hmmm:

Even if it was fodder & if it approached the top, i'd make sure it didn't overtake the chairman :biker:

That looks as likely as being able to shovel gravy up a cows ass with a fork :beglee: Of course, Richarlison was a big help, another transfer needed :injured1:

57.25 to be accurate = 229 which would be 80th if entered the S/L so there's plenty better placed :hmmm: Including James Higham, any wiser who he is :ninja:

it's a guide talcy..... may be merit in chairing your first monthly to encourage people to chase and burn transfers? if we fill it with at least 5 good teams - it could even be high on league of leagues for a bit :titter:

All 6 of my teams have less than 38 transfers, 35 generally & ALL have Luke Shaw which I will hold for a game or 2 assuming the news doesn't change :hmmm: You can add Sterling, Ali, B Silva to 'my' injury list :biker:

fooks sake....knew i shouldnt put owt....

we all know a 20 point swing at this stage of season is 1000's of places...

just put in stuff which you think has a chance.

well set up / decent transfers / already flying / whatever - trying to be inclusive without wasting everyones time... there was one year when people were putting in teams that were already way behind and had burnt transfers..... it can become a bit of a chew this - so folk lose the will if there are mong teams that is all....

you may as well boot your others and use to fill others leagues - need to be unique managers to count either for vip chair or league of leagues. I have put one in

This is just my own view.

Other seasons I've joined VIP leagues & being brutally honest, wondered why they bothered to put their hands up :dunno:

So, my view is that only managers who have proven themselves at the game should be chosen/selected, why restrict yerself to just 2 teams :hmmm:
