Best Enablers / Value

Postby Devilsweep » Sun Jul 29, 2018 10:03 am

Right chaps - I guess I better help you lot out this year given as I keep whooping your asses on a regular basis (no jokes please Timmsy)

So who we got:

GK: Foster and Fabianksi
Def: Odoi, Doherty
Mids: Jota, Anderson
Fwds: Zaha and Arnie

More will emerge I'm sure

As for Value:

Shaw
Ozil
Coleman
Schurle

What are the others that we should be considering?

May as well post in here.
First real stab at what could be my main set up this season, not likely to start the season exactly like this but more or less based on this sort of set up:

Schmeicel 3.3

Coleman 3.5
Ward 3.0
Vestergaard 2.9
Robertson 3.8

Sane 4.9
Salah 6.0
Sanchez 5.6
Jota 3.2

Aguero 6.8
Kane 7.0

I've looked at a more expensive defensive set up but at the moment can't make one work without the midfield looking piss poor but should be more doable at the season progresses.

If you read from the bottom up looks like a good team. As you get near the top it all goes fking horribly wrong :titter:

Forward
Muto at Newcastle - £3.5m
:ninja:

Should play every game up top for them.

Give him the first month to find his noodles, then consider.

Defender: Paterson of Cardiff at £2.3m

Deployed in Midfield with 10 goals from 32 league games last year.

One to watch out for, although can't see Cardiff being that tight at the back and we all know that goals in the Championship don't always materialise in the prem, I think the official term is Dwightgaleism :albino:

But at 2.3 if he starts every game then should be decent fodder.

Quote from Warnock when Paterson was banging in the goals last season "When I signed him, I knew he would score six or seven goals as a full-back but what I didn’t know is that he can’t defend," laughed Warnock.

If Cardiff keep 6 clean sheets from 38 games, top with 2 in the FA Cup with a bit of luck.
They get hit for 3 in every other game in the season.
5 Yellows
4 Goals
3 Assists

85pts for a £2.3m Defender.

That would do. Maybe Warnocks comments come from the fact Hearts used to stick him up top, as far away from defending as possible.

Where's that magic wand as I'm talking utter dogshit.

Thought Hernandez and Astronaught were the main striking options, where does Perez fit in?

Hernandez just isn't the same player when he starts, I'd go Perez and Arnautovic will start up top.

From the start I'm only considering Tosun and Mitrovic from the sub £6m striker range. Presently have no Tosun's chosen but may throw him in a couple. Anything else would be selected from the Midfield section.

Starts in midfield today, so looking like a decent punt :albino:

AWB (2.5) starts and so does Chambers (2.5) for Fulham

Got AWB in the majority of my teams. 2.5 for a starting palace defender was to good to turn down. Got a fair few Coady's aswell.

Neves looks like a decent punt too, at 3.4. I went for Jota :OFFS: hopefully they end up with similar tallies :dunno:
