As some states dont/haven't even released any details according to this its impossible to know how many deaths there are in the US :dunno:

A sensible idea to remove BAME staff from the front line where feasible/possible :Isay:

I hope the 60k is an across the board interim figure for those who've lost their lives :hmmm:

Surviving spouses will get in some cases, a generous pension, others not so generous. Not that I have a figure in mind tbh :dunno: 60k imho aint overly generous :spliff:

Who the fook does he think he is. :whatever:

He's yer typical Labour supporting twat that thinks he knows best & everyone else isn't capable of making their own decisions :Isay:

I'm not even saying his opinion is wrong, its the way he projects it :beglee:

Personally, in principle I dont have a problem with games taking place behind closed doors providing ALL the payers understand & accept the risk & agree to socially distance themselves for the remainder of the season :WTF:

Test every player every day, as soon as one test positive, game over. :oldgit:

What happens if a player fails a test?

League should finish whenever that is like any other job

I suppose at some point the news channels who repeatedly point out that we look like ending up with largest death count will eventually have to give some true inescapable facts :hmmm:

France: similar population but living in an area approx 2 1/2 the size of the UK.

Spain: smaller population but covering twice the size of the UK

Italy: Slightly smaller population & approx 25% larger in area compared to UK.

Logical to assume that 'we' would struggle to keep the spread down due to being so densely populated :Isay:

The UK & Italy are entitled to have the largest amounts of deaths on that bases imho :oldgit:

Luckily, for the want of a more suitable word, Somerset appear to have got off quite light in death terms at the moment cos we aint densely populated :beglee:

One league we didn't want to win

I'm not convinced some other country's have been so open & transparent as 'us' :hmmm: Here's one view

I'm not out to bash our government but I'm cynical about these figures: Source

Deaths outside the NHS

5,890 took place in care homes

- 1,306 in private homes

- 301 in hospices

- 105 in other communal establishments, and

- 111 elsewhere

Some, impossible to say how many, should have ended up in hospitals but were left to die where they were & I'm certainly not suggesting had they gone to hospital any of them could have been saved. I suspect it may have been a deliberate ploy to keep the strain off the NHS though?

Remember the doom & gloom predictions coming out of Italy for our NHS but we didn't run out of beds or ventilators :Isay: but I'd still only give our government 5/10 on their handling :oldgit:

Supposed to be an ease of lockdown in England starting from next week.
Can't see it being too drastic.
Some clips i have seen on twitter think some have started already.
Scotland doing another 3 weeks.

At some point surely some focus should be aimed at Care/Nursing home owners/managers :hmmm:

Newsnight last night spoke to a care home worker who very openly stated the she was aware that some care workers that knew they had Covid 19 continued going to work for financial reasons.

Impossible to calculate how many Care homes had this problem with some staff though but it must have been a factor in the spread of covid imho. :oldgit:

If you can be bothered, its here about 28 minutes in.

Canny lady whose only mistake was not to immediately sack Calderwood has played a blinder imho. :spliff:

No doubt in my mind she's playing politics & playing it well with a degree of help from the media in making Boris play catch up :hmmm: Generally I'm no fan of Sturgeon but credit where its due :Isay:

She's certainly more effective than Starmer at the moment, though, all he has to do in reality is sit back & wait for this nightmare to run its course with a likely death toll possibly 40-50,000  He only needs to ask one question:

"Do you feel you've blood on yer hands Prime Minister?"

If I was advising Boris  I'd encourage him to start grovelling now, admit some decisions may have cost lives for which I'm desperately sorry etc. Tis called honesty. :beglee: & shooting Starmers fox. :biker:

Logic, common sense = you cant have a slogan/mantra of Stay at home with the message asking some people to return to work :hmmm:

Personally, I'd rather it was left as it was for a couple more weeks to buy time to set up a test/track/trace/ isolate teams/capability :oldgit:

Odds on a spike of infections especially in London :Isay:

I generously gave a mark of 5/10 on the governments handling, downgraded to 4 now :blind:

Boris should note, Churchill won the war & lost the general election just after & history could repeat itself'ish

So Cummings broke the lockdown by driving to Durham. Bojo needs to dump him. Labour have to be closing the gap and as long as Cummings is around it’ll be fast

Dominic Cummings travelled further in lockdown with coronavirus than Crewe Alexandra have ever gone for a competitive game in their 143-year history.

Shops re-opening 15th
If you go into a clothes shop you can't touch them or try them on
If you try a pair of shoes on and you don't buy them they go into quarantine
So basically carry on shopping online :agree1:
