Chris Williamson, chief business economist at IHS Markit, commented: "UK retailers enjoyed a mini-boom in October. But such spending is looking increasingly unsustainable as inflation is likely to rear its head in coming months and households are growing worried about their future finances."

I dont understand this expert cos I'd say people are more likely to buy/spend now before the increase in inflation :dunno:

I'm not surprised Bookmakers object to this levy. The days where betting on horse racing was by far the main turnover are long gone.

Betting on football has increased along with other sports etc. + the profits from gaming machines are enormous :biker:

Spuds government give the horsing racing of Ireland €64 million grant. Pay fk all taxes on stud fees might even be no taxes and bookies take the hit on the betting tax of a few % on bet

Good news for Labour in the long term :biker:

Probably due to the young & deluded waking up to the fact Labour is unelectable under JC :hmmm:

They need to beg the other Miliband to come back who is most definitely electable :Isay:

Last London dog track gone

I remember being at the White City 1968, I doubt there has been a more unpopular winner of the Greyhound Derby owned the Duke of Edinburgh :hmmm: Debris littered the track, boo's & accusations that it had been a carve up, Camera Flash only got into the final cos a dog was disqualified for fighting which made it hard to pick on form but a carve up :dunno: Greyhounds are inclined to make fools of us :biker:

How will we cope :hmmm: Probably the same we use to :biker: Pre 1990 being delayed at borders was a way of life & Dover in particular could be a real pain in the arse cos our 'customs' delighted in being utter coonts. I was held at Dover for 2 days cos there was a discrepancy of about 20 pfennigs in tax
