3 games on in MCG this weekend but why do teams not have their own ground instead of sharing?

If they take money to play on incest island, using C-word grounds is only one level further down according to Dante

the melbourne clubs used to play on their own grounds,
but couldn't all afford the upkeep,
so elected to maximise a couple of state of the art stadiums
mcg and docklands

most clubs still train on their old grounds; punt road, glenferrie oval, princess park, arden street, windy hill, moorabbin, etc
not sure what collingwood do? run around the bush by yarra falls? :titter:
