130 - Just based on form Bally would be 2s Melon 16s so Melon surely only a faith bet - could piss in but it could be that Mullins doesnt have a superstar. Bally has all the form but I still reckon if Moon Racer went here Bally would have switched to Neptune as I reckon it lacks real pace. Ive decided no bet for me but wouldnt be surprised if either of the top 2 go in.

210 Altior will piss in - I will probably back Forest Bihan EW
-
250 - Usually won by a 1st or 2nd season chaser but ive gone for Druids Nephew as word is right back to his best and well treated on previous form

330 - Moon Racer real sub-standard CH, this would have walked the Supreme so can only assume they reckon it can beat these. If not then Pipe has really screwed up

410 - Vroom Vroom could win this and at 3s not a bad bet, Lifeboat Mona EW as a sporting alternative

450 - If Edwulf jumps I think it wins - no certainty though based on this season   Also done Champers on Ice but has been tipped up by everyone so hardly a shrewd move

530 - Itsafreebee for me but very tricky race, no surprise if Two Taffs won for the same stable and I also like Sizing Tennessee EW had a dabble at 22s yesterday

Light day again tomorrow I think

Neon wolf - bet of the meeting for a lot of people (although that is Yorkhill at 11/8   )
Acapella Bourgeois - might have a better trends profile than the favourite, will he act on the ground is my main concern, also speculative EW on Aurillac at 66s and better
Tombstone - well documented trainer thinks very well weighted for handicap bow
Garde La Victoire EW
Cause of Causes - loves it here - new challenge but have to assume it will be spot on
Dreamcatcher (probably do Dolos as well as Nicholls targets this race)
Not got a strong view on the Bumper so done 2 big odds EW - Perfect Harmony and Better Getalong

Nice Profit today, mainly from Tiger Roll at 16's.

Tomorrow will be a day to make a move for the inevitable over betting when on the lash on Friday.

1.30 Willoughby Court - 12/1
2.10 Royal Vacation - 10/1 (fancy Alpha Des Obeaux as well but I'm not betting so I'll post this to look a dick when it wins)
2.50 Peregrine Run 9/1 (Kalondra at 25's might get a small e/w wager)
3.30 Probably just watch Douvan cross the line, light up a hamlet and wait for the others.
4.10 Bless the Wings - 14/1 (could make a case for several here so I'll have one bet on this)
4.50 Percy Street - 25/1 and with PN's record in this race last 2 years Dreamcatching -12/1
5.30 Perfect Harmony - 33/1

Could be a fking great day if a few of the above come in.

Decent day for me yesterday so will post what I intend to lose my winnings from yesterday on!!

1.30 - Messire Des Obeaux
2.10 - Might Bite
2.50 - Peregrine Run
3.30 - Gods Own EW Or might just bet on the 'without Douvan' Market?
4.10 - Auvergnat
4.50 - Dreamcatching
5.30 - No bet in this!!!

Probably do a couple of lucky 15's maybe a 63? Singles on all and maybe a couple of doubles? I think an ew double on the 1st and 3rd races for sure.

Might Bite likely to drift because of all the negative vibes pre cheltenham.
Wouldnt be at all surprised if it goes 4s or 5s by the off....worth a go at those odds

The Douvan gamble
Horse racing
Posted at
15:28
As you may have seen earlier, someone has put £500,000 on Douvan to win at odds of 1-5 to win. If the odds-on favourite wins, they will land £100,000.

Decent first couple of races for me. Went tits up after that!! Was going to steam into Yorkies in the first tomorrow, but now I might look elsewhere? Mullins stable not firing, and maybe a dodgy jumper? Saying that probably win by 15 lengths!! :horse2:

1. Which coont put that other picture on my first post?

2. Bets for tomorrow:
1.30 Top Notch - want 4/1 so will check back am. Think this could start off a good day (as always!) 4/1 a big plus on Bet365.
2.10 El Bandit - 12/1 (may have a few quid on Impulsive Star, will see)
2.50 Empire of Dirt - not bet yet at 5/2, one in this and move on. Will place this and Top Notch in the morning. Possibly a double as well.
3.30 Cole Harden 9/1, can't see this out of the top 3. Think it has a real chance of winning with the drying ground. Done e/w as I think it's a no brainer rather that Frank Bruno on the nose.
4.10 Henryville 28/1 - if it doesn't jump like Douvan or a twat I'm hoping I can get a good run at the odds. Trainer / jockey combo a plus for me.
4.50 Airlie Beach 4/1 - Mullins must have a winner today and here it is.
5.30 Doctor Harper - 14/1, (Squouateur might also have a few of my pennies based on jockey and trainer combo, money coming in for this one already)

Roll on tomorrow and then a good sesh on friday with plenty of bets and booze!

Here we go again!!..

1.30 - Top Notch win
2.10 - Gayebury and Implusive Star both EW (skybet 6 places)
2.50 - Uxizandre win
3.30 - Cole Harden EW
4.10 - Baron Alco EW
4.50 - La Bague Au Roi EW
5.30 - Premier Bond EW

Singles on all, couple of doubles/trebles possibly? 2 Lucky 15's and may do a 63 too? Got a few free bets today which i'll spread across a few. Also have backed Mullins to have no winners today and Henderson 2 winners, both 6's on Bet Victor!!

Strange day yesterday bit of a close but no cigar

In my original post I tipped up Might Bite then changed it later to Acapello - at least I did have a bet on Bite when it drifted to 4s as expected but not close to the stake I originally planned
Cause of Causes basically a penalty kick here.
The other one was in Tombstone race - had plenty AP on that but backed a couple on the day including Supersundae - again to not massive stakes so again all in all OK but not epic lol

Today is interesting
Yorkhill was to be my nap of the meeting as should be head and shoulders above these, but Mullins in shocking form - 13/8 or bigger maybe? I was thinking punt off the boards odds-on

Backing 2 in the next - have to back Tobefair again as it keeps winning, will be the story of the Festival if it wins. Also done Golden Douyen as quietly fancy that

Empire of Dirt rock solid for me

Harry I have backed AP wont do anything else. On the ground I see Cole Harden and Zark as the dangers - although price has long gone out of Cole Harden compared to a couple of weeks back

Backed the fav AP but this is so open - I put 4 up against the field (expecting none in the frame  ) All Together Katchenko Champagne at Tara. One other for interest is Tango De Juilley, only ran once last year and finished 2nd in this, has not run since - trainer does well in this race so again well worth a small EW interest

If Let's Dance doesn't win this Mullins will go home  :titter:

Pendra and Doctor Harper for me in the lucky last

Having my first bet of the festival today, £5ew on one selction every race and a £5ew acca. £80 outlay.
Selections are what I've picked in Talcy's comp. :titter: :thumb1:

1.30 Soldier in action (money back in a free bet if it loses)
2.10 Diego du charmil (pays down to 6th place)
2.50 Constatine bay
3.30 More of that (pays down to 4th place)
4.10 Ask the weatherman
4.50 Lac fontana (pays down to 6th place)
5.30 The game changer
:OFFS:

Day 4 Bets

1.30 Charlie Parcs
2.10 Winter Escape & Wait for Me
2.50 Constantine Bay (if a decent win from above I may hit Death Duty win only)
3.30 Sizing John
4.10 On The Fringe
4.50 Tommy Silver
5.30 Sizing Platinum & La Prezien

As the beer flows I'll probably have a 2nd horse in the 4:10 and 4:50 races.

Landofhopeandglory - hot race, Henderson cant hear defeat for his but sporting EW at double figures hoping the ground will make a lot of difference

Ivanovich Gorbatov - probably laid out for this but main concern is horrible on trends (first time in handicap plus since 2004 116 horses have run rated 140 or higher and all have got beat..also with this race you dont want a front runner as they have a shocking record as well   I have done Vosne Romanee as a sporting EW

Gone against death Duty with Augusta Kate as form easily as strong and big price by comparison

Ive done Outlander - think Djakadam will probably win and be favourite but value seems to have gone and again as a sporting EW hopefully Outlander will be at least placed

On The Fringe should win easy in the hooray. Anseanachai Cliste EW at decent 33/1 odds

Taglietelle my only bet EW in the next

Dandridge in the last - would have won this last year bar an early blunder - bit of a hold up ride and has Davy Russell on - the master at that type of ride
